Decatur– A historic part of Atlanta that was established at an intersection between two Native American Trails. It was the strategic site of Sherman’s Atlanta campaign during the civil war and it was where General McPherson who occupied the town cut if off from the Confederates. Today with it’s beautiful brick homes and bungalows and it has some of the top rated schools in the city. It’s downtown has been revitalized with restaurants, coffee shops, and wonderful festivals including the Decatur Arts Festival, Beer and Wine Festivals and Bluegrass Festival. It’s also home to Emory University and Agnes Scott College.
